Theater and Music

Prices: In ancient Greece the theaters are not
that much really. The rich and poor could get in.
the price for the tickets was 2 obols and a third
of a drachma. If you don't have the money to get
the ticket you can still get in because the city-state
would pay for you.

How did the theater begin?: they theater begin as a
way tohonour the gods and goddesses. It's also religious
to the gods and goddesses as well.


Music: The instruments that are more used that they
play in ancient Greece are the lyre (hand held harp) and
the double flute (pan pipes). Drums and horns are played
too.

What were the drums and horns used for?: Drums- Drums
were used on ritual occasions and were exotic to the ancient
Greeks. Horns- Horns were used for military purposes, not
entertainment
